Golden Oldies : Gunstar Heroes Review

SEGA MEGA DRIVE + GUNSTAR HEROES = INSTANT WIN

i remember playing this game when i was young and remembered how flipping awesome this game is when i sorted my xbox live after a year of me getting my xbox FML!!! i looked on XBLA and i literally had lost my mind after seeing it for a measly £3.50 i bought and played it.


REVIEW>

MUSIC-

when i played the first level of this game i got that nostalgic feeling and i looked back at my childhood the music really never gets old the boss battle music really fit in with the theme of non stop action which is what i always prefered when i was younger

PLOT-

This game is about a planet called gunstar 9 the gunstar heroes need to stop the uprising of gold silver who is like an unstopable diety who can be revived if he obtains the 4 jewels so the bad guys who are known as the empire who have collected the jewels and are trying to revive him for a unknown reason probably for evil purposes.

Weapons-

Well basically the weapons system is very basic there are four different weapon types such as fire,electricity,chaser and some next orange things im not sure what they are well and what i like that you are able to mix them together and make new combinations which makes every combination unique and a very new weapons at the time of the sega mega drive era kind of like altered beast.


Bosses-

The bosses were really enjoyable when i first played my first playthrough since every boss is unique and fit in well with the music which gave it a retro hype i thought the names of the bosses were original because they were normal colours such as pink,green ,black,orange my favourite was green personally.


Downside-

Sometimes when you play and there are loads of enemies on the screen it lags but its on curtain occasions such as the 5th level with the diagonal boxes it lags like crazy which irrates me i would have expected this on the sega genesis but on a remake its really unexcusable even though you would expect it from a classic.

Another downside of the game is that some of the cominations are literally so weak when fighting a boss a fight can last up to 10 mins which can make it really boring.


This was one of the first games i played when i was younger with other classics like Flicky,Alex Kidd or altered beast there were others that i prefer not really to go into detail with such as pinocchio and some flight simulation games which i cant remember the name at the moment which will probably why i dont remember them since they were so not memorable oh yeah bubsy aws quite awesome aswell

But this game stood out since i always enjoyed playing it despite its repetitivness which in my opinion is acceptable since it was a action game on the sega genesis and their should have been a hidden opition to choose green as a hidden character which to me would have been awesome in the remake which to me was a big disaster!!!!!

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Xbox 360

erm there really isn't alot to say about this game its one of those games that is so average i cant comment on it but this is renowned as one of the hardest games ever realesed on xbox 360 which i recently borrowed from a friend this game had a decent storyline and good gameplay mechanics since people try and insult it but its just a quick reflex kinda game.




The way the game starts seems kinda quiet until the ninjas drop in within 5 minutes and kidnap some girl seriously team ninja and their water balloon mechanics are flippin nuts since dead or alive was released all the girls have huge boobs many people say that team ninja got lazy and started recycling characters for example lisa (la mariposa) and tina look exactly the same but with different skin colour and hair/fighting style a similar thing goes on with ninja gaiden the only unique aspect in this game is the bosses all the enemies look the same but slightly tweeked such as different costume colour the only time i recall not seeing those annoying ninjas that gangrape you is when your against the werewolves.



volf was supposed to be a really intimidating boss to take down but when you fight him all he does is spin around in circles wtf i wont ruin the rest of the game for you but its a constant gangrapefest

Final Fantasy XIII (My first thoughts on disc one)

well when my edition came a day late which pissed me off i noticed that in the game mannual their is a picture of leona lewis listen yeah fair enough she done one song for the sountrack but still why dedicate a picture to her in the mannual i know alot people that got pissed since i know alot of hardcore ff fans.



ok my first thoughts i like to look at the achievements when i first play the game so i get the general idea of what i need to do but to my suprise their all secret wtf is the point of having secret achievements you don't know how to "achieve" them most them are like master the cammando paradigm and shit like that.



ok the graphics of this game look fantastic but since i heard the game had to be compressed to able to work on the 360 so they look abit "watered down" to be able to play omg btw i entered my square enix members password to get a free avataR uniform PURE AWESOMENESS why are the codes soooooooo long its like IAMMA-KINGAN-EXTREM-LYLONG-CODETO-TYPEIN-TOPISS-PEOPL-EOFF.

Final Fantasy XIII (My Thoughts on disc 2/3)

after completing the first disc i though it was quite short and easy since the boss battles besides the eidolons really gave me trouble odins a bitch anyway once you move on to disc 2 i though the monsters were slightly more improved than disc one but slightly the only real troble i got wass against some of the bosses such as retarded turtle creature


bartandulus is such a bastard remember to level before you fight this mostrousity of a boss when i fist fought him i jus got destroyed and i thought i would just keep on switching to the "combat clinic" paradigm which was annoying since was that boss uses "magic amplication" his magic just doubles in strength which is why you have to destroy his magic armour quick since he gets different spells for e.g he no longer has "thunder" it will change to "thundara" then change to "thundraga" when he fist did this even with combat clinic on he destroyed me so thats when you have to cp farm luckily just on the outside on that boss enemies will keep respawning constantly which will make getting cp really easy another annoying feature is when fighting the squads of soldiers make sure you kill those bazooka men before they get to attack they will kill you witin a couple of hits after you do the cp farming go back and fight bartandulus he will be easier tahn before since you have improved magic and hp

After you should soon be at disc 3 which pissed of alot of gamers since when sqaure enix announced that this game will have free roam you will not get to until you reach hran pulse which is a bitch i know alot of people that didnt like it just for this reason .

you will also get to fight the classic final fantasy summons such as alexander,bahamut and odin and a couple of new ones which made the game more interesting but the one that sazh has is a blaitent rip of of transformers its like million year old eidolon can trransform into a fuckin lamborghini which was knida cool but i never used sazh as i main mine was lightning,hope and fang which was a pretty much balanced team if you asked me attack wise and defensive wise

since i dont want to give to many spoiler in the game away now ill talk about some of the ending DON'T READ ON IF YOU DON'T WANT THE ENDING RUINED



ok since i don't want to go in depth in this game im jus going to talk about some of the ending ok as soo as you reach barthandulus in his final form he should be no troble if you are at a decent level and have some good items and weapons which i did since i went around trying to rider the jewish chocobos which was another huge dissapointment anyway he wasn't that hard to beat than you will have to fight orphan who was kind of a pain since he had 1 hit K.O attack he will use after every 2 minutesthis boss took me about 3 tries but he was nothing compared to safer sephiroth from final fantasy vii the ending to me was kinda a blur since to much shit was happening at the same time and i was baffled this happended when i think fang and vanielle turned into ragnarok and which i think created a new planet i think anyway this is the only time in the game where lightning actually smiles similar to cloud from final fantasy vii advent children they dedicated a whole song to him man anyway the game was good but it could have been game of the year with the hype about its launch since i didn't go to the official oxford street launch which annoyed me since i found out 2 days after about the launch anyways gd game recommeneded purchase for RPG lovers and Final Fantasy fans

Bout Time : Aliens Vs Predator review

i haven't done a review in ages but its about time i did one.........



Aliens vs Predator is a pretty much straight foward game you can choose to be the alien the predator or the marine the one i consider myself the best with is the alien since i am good at stealth i can't state this enough but the most annoying feature about this game is that when your the alien or the predator you can stealth kill people when you are behind your opponents when you press x/square this is annoying online for one reason when you in the middle of fighting someone and the start running away when your chasing them there is always one dickhead who follows you and stealth kills you another fucking annoying feature is when you stealth kill someon e and someone stealth kills you straight after its kinda like a domino effect and has happened to me constantly on xbox live

Another annoying feature about this game is the marine there is no skill when you shoot you can't aim in so basically its spray or prey i find myself constantly being sprayed at by marines which pisses me off since their guns can really fuck you up at close range.

Like the marine predators mainly have some next weapon that can kill you instantly if charged up to the max my favourite weapon for the predator is the combi stick since its a instakill and takes some experience to use espiacally on aliens that are aware that you are holding it

DEAD OR ALIVE 4

ok even tho i played this game ages ago this made me cry online the arcade mode was ok ok now to do the pros



ok fighting enviroment overall amazing not up to ff 13 standards but best i have seen in a fighting game so far

arcade = arcade is decent since there is a storyline with each character and this gets the gamer even the avid gamer interested in the story which was a good accomplishment a couple more cutscenes wouldn't have hurt though ok

wtf skimpy costumes = when i was achievement hunting for this game i was trying to collect all of the character costumes i got about 75% then i wanted to see them all so i was looking through the girls costumes they might as well be naked im just sayin



reversal= the reversal similar to smackdown vs raw but with a difference that one actually made sense when i played arcade on hard this pissed me off since i got constantly reversed and K.O'd

ok sorry i really need to talk about this because its so annoying fair enough when your against a final boss your expecting a certain level of toughness but this boss with a 4 hit combo can wipe your health bar i remember this boss wiped me out in less than 5 seconds once after about 2 hours i actually won only to get a 15G achivement i was like never again and i havent played the game since

WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1 MORE ok quickly the online is terrible they should match you with people around your level but no you get people that play the game so much they reverse everything and i disconnect and play something else oh yh the fuckin lag everytime i swear someone put lagswitch on

PS3 PREMIUM AND TEH CRASHES! AND SUM RANDOM RANTAGE

i have heard that the "HACKERS ON STERIODS"have leaked that ps3 is going to have a similar online system as xbox like their "silver" membership which is pretty pointless since you cant do anything on it thats y i have gold the premium is supposed to be for downloading demos extending the warranty etc.

This has confused ps3 users to wonder if they really need to spend extra money on buying ps3 premium when there is really no point in buying it they would have made shit loads of money if they included online if they bought ps3 premium

i have also looked around the net to find out that the ps3's that first came up have started to recieve error messages know as (ERROR CODE 80010510
) which means they will nmot play hard drive games which made ps3 owners distraught since i heard all my mates had this problem and i was just laughing in their face since i go t xbox pretty late compared to all my friends i got one last christmas and could never be asked to set up the xbox live i just fought it aws to long to set up but i knew the new call of duty was going to come out soon so thats wen i decided to fix my live ASAP it kinda annoyed me that imy friends kinda went off xbox which pissed me off.

i didn't really play my xbox since offline is really boring the only thing you can do is get achievements i remember buying halo completing the campaign and thought what do i do know clock it on a harder difficulty FUCK OFF then i was buying fighting games such as streetfighter 4,dead or alive 4,mortal kombat vs dc taht game was so budget i when off those type of games and really just play shooters i mainly am trying to really get into modern warfare 2 since im going through a naruto phase i've bought a fuck load of naruto merchandise of the net i mainly use throwing knives now since they are really hard to master i try to get at least 5 kills a game via the throwing knife i murk i got the dirtiest final kill on a hardcore search match with a throwing knife the best way to use the throwing knife is when the match starts dont follow your teammates i wall hug the map then try to catch enemies off gaurd i love the ones when they enemies are camping and they are totally oblivious to your presense and your lob it and make them look a joke another good map to use throwing knives on is highrise since it consists off many narrow hallways which makes it easier to aim at oppenents from a distance i got the another good longshot with a throwing knife kill on that map when i duck behind sum crates lob a throwing knife ricochets off the floor and hits someone which makes me lool.

it is hard getting a final killcam with a throwing knife if your playing a team death since you have to jus wait and be lucky to do it at the right time if you want to get it it is easier on free for all since you have no people on your team i reckon you have to be a certain amount off kills ahead aboud 5 (assuming if you are actually good at call of duty)

Halo ODST Vidmaster Achievements!!!!!

During my halo phase last month i have been trying to get the iconic "recon armour" which every halo player wishes to have since bungie will never release it to anyone you have to get it by doing the 4 halo 3 "vidmaster" achievements and the other 3 on halo ODST



The achievements are....

HALO 3

LightSwitch- Proceed to liutenant rank on the new matchmaking "EXP" system

Annual - On 4 player xbox live co-op Complete the last level on legendary with everybody finishing in ghosts

BrainPan - find the skulls on the mythic Map Pack

7 ON 7 -On the 7th day of ANY MONTH you must have 7 EXP in any playlist

Halo 3 Odst

Endure- on firefight on heroic or higher get to past the 4th set of the 4th round on xbox live 4 player

Classic - Complete a stage on legendary with no shots fired or granades thrown (OMGWTF)

Deja Vu - On 4 Player xbox live complete the final stage on legendary

These achievements where really annoying to get since the key is finding people that are reliable and wont quit in the middle of the co-op ones which happened to me at least 5 times which really pissed me off since we got considerabally far i got the ones that your can obtain by yourself on halo 3 and odst within 2 days and i had to like wait for a week to get the 7 on 7 achievement which was quite easy to get since people on youtube cant explain how to do this properly http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZOp0TRDatvk This guy cant explain SHIT!!!

When i got all of the vidmasters that you can get on your own i turned to the harder co-op ones i was searching for about 2 hours to find people to do it with i went from yahoo answers to halo 3 forums when i found help from the least likely place GAIA fuckin Gaia this guy was round abouts my level and his GT was Lunar anotov he really helped me get the rest of the vidmasters when i finally reached that 5th set on endure i was so relived since we had no lives and 2 guys left with considerably low health and we managed to defeat a fuckload of grunts/brutes and about 3 brute chieftans this was one of the most epicest moments of halo for me since we just about managed to survive and get the achievement recalling these moments shows how hard i worked for my recon we were playing firefight for 2 and a half hours

Another one of my epic moments is when i was playing Social and my entire team left and i still managed to dominate the enemy team which was quite amusing it still didnt live up to my epic mw2 moments FUCKIN 40-1 baby in a team deathmatch they got dominated so hard anyways im gettin of track anyways there are people on xbox that arent douches but its like trying to find a shiny pokemon which is literally impossible i remember without cheating i got a Shiny Polygon,Tangela the odds on finding a shiny pokemon according to serebii net= "odds of finding a shiny pokemon in the wild are 1 on 8192 battles" which means there are alot of douches out there SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI

Since i am an aspiring game reviewer i just wanted to get a decent library of games with different genres such as role playing,Rpg,Action,Fps,Third person Shooter.Horror,Puzzle,Fighting,Platformer these are making my collection vary wide which i prefer because there is more types of games taht i can play which makes my library vast.

Since im really into the fps genre i want to try and break a habit from shooting games atm such as Modern Warfare 2,Halo 3 ETC i want to try and get into more games that require abit more strategy such as Final Fantasy XIII which amazon is delivering to me in 2 weeks time XD,XP,O__o

now recently i have started buyin games online when i found an amazing purchase BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM for £20 i was like "im havin that" it arrived in a days time on my day off from college which really made my day i started getting into but for fuck sake is that intro long even tho it aws good to feature some off the characters from the tv show/films such as joker who is the main antagonist of the game you also see charactrers such as killer croc who is awesome his size has increased considerably which makes the quote "bigger is better" come to mind i've gotten quite far as the plot thickens collecting pointless riddler trophies one of the main points of retardedness is that sometimes you go to the objective then you end up randomly wondering aboutfor 30 mins then finding a secret vent in the corner of the stage thisn like this annoy me since it makes you believe you have to search around until you find a point of entry



Now that i have completed the how game i was dissapointed that you only really get to fight hand 2 hand combat with bane and joker as bosses i was expecting a stage when you have to swing around gargoyles trying to beat kiler croc taht might be my nintendo fanboyish side also the stage with killer croc in the sewers was kind of a let down since i was expecting sum kind of fight scene but i guess unreal COULD NOT BE ASKED i mean wtf when you see him at the begining of the game you cant wait to fight him your like "u dik watch later when when i shuv my batarang up your ass" lool i was depressed that the penguin wasn't in it aswell and you don't even see the riddler wtf UNREAL and there lazy programming

overall the graphics are good but the plot could have been better

Personally i was never really a big fan of the COD series but since everybody started getting into it during the COD4 SAGA the only time i played it was really split screen round my m8s house but when i saw modern warfare 2 i had to get it



Mainly in MW2 the campaign is overally epic since the graphics are as realistic as game grapics get they also gave you an option to play a "special ops" mode which is really good if you like playing split screen which consists of 2 player objectives such as one man has to shoot from a pavelow while the other man makes his way on foot these missions are ok overall but if you play them on you own they can get tedious and boring.

The campaign mode on Veteran difficulty is impossible since one bullet to your toe can kill you instantly punishing you instantly for one little mistake like running out of cover for a split second sorry mate but if you haven't cleared out all the enemies your dead which makes it one of the most irratating campaigns in the COD Saga.

Online on Mw2 is probably the best occuring feature on the game since that is why most people purchase this game and the ability to make your own individual class with perks of your choice which gives this game a gold medal for individualality the only bad thing that occurs on COD games are Campers taht mainly stay in the same spot to rack up a quick 7 kills the other annoying feature about this game is flippin laggy hosts makes you do sum retareded dancing until the game changes host this literally makes the game unplayable.

Bayonetta Review

OK i know this has been awhile but i decided to review sum new skewl games since ive managed to get my hands on sum recently So today i will be reviewing Bayonetta for xbox 360/ps3



To be honest this game is pretty oringinal its about a witch who has a battle and ends up in a coma for about 500 years blah,blah,blah its kind of like devil may cry since the creator Hideki Kamiya has created games such as viewtiful joe also basically instead of slaying demons you end up slaying angels to get a "eye" that controls the world of sum shit.

I can't really complain about this game but the camera angles are so fucking annoying for e.g your in the middle of fighting a battle with some guys then the camera angles start spinning around and you can't see shit this is the most irratating feature since you are constantly taking blows and end up contining like 5 times which is why you recieve a "stone" medal all the time anuva annoying feature about this game is when you use an item say one to replenish your health bar the game deducts points i know i am picking at these points but if they improveed them the game would be alot more fun \ also everything at the shop is too fuckin expensive you have to clock the game once to unlock an item that counter attacks bayonetta should have that as a feature instead of having to purchase it at the fuckjin shop.

the bosses are flippin amazing espcially when tghey go into different cutscences that look rly gd espiacally when you cut off your enemies heads and beat the shit out them with it which was pretty hilarious yet EPIC at the same time the games difficulty levels really live up to their name if you pick "hard" mode or "climax" prepare to die a fucking shitload of times plus your handguns don't actually do any damage you have to shoot in sucsession for 10 mins to actually do a decent amount of damage you you also have to

I CAN'T STRESS THIS ENOUGH BUT ITS LIKE RESIDENT EVIL 4 WHEN YOU HAVE TO PRESS A BUTTON DURING A CUTSCENE TO AVOID DEATH WHEN YOU CLOCK A LEVEL YOU WANT TO RELAX AND SEE THE CUTSCENE THEN A FLIPPIN WARNING SIGN THAT SEZ "PRESS B TO EVADE" WILL COME UP AND YOU HAVE A NANO SECOND TO PRESS IT IF YOU MISS YOU FLIPPIN DIE I MUST HAVE DIED ATLEAST 15 TIMES WITHIN THE GAME BY THE ANNOYING CUTSCENES FAIR ENOUGH IF THEY GIVE YOU SUM KIND OF WARNING BEFOREHAND LIKE DURING THE TUTORIAL MODE THAT TELLS YOU YOU HAVE TO DO IT BUT NO! IT DON'T.

Overall out of 10 i rate this game a 7/10 the graphics are spectacular but the ways you die are irratating also the game goes from easy to hard to quickly then you have to defeat like 4 giant guys while taking fire from people shooting shit at you i was like WTF!
